About KNASW

Kenya National Association of Social Workers(KNASW) is the voice of social workers in Kenya. KNASW is a voluntary, provincial, non-profit association for social workers.

Kenya National Association of Social Workers (KNASW) is an umbrella organization of social workers spread around the country. KNASW was registered as a society in 1960 under the same name with the mandate of rallying social workers to come together to form a critical mass necessary to influence formulation and implementation of socio-economic policies. As KNASW registered success in this endeavor, so did the membership and subsequently its mandate. With statuary mandate addressing three critical areas of; policy influencing, advocacy and capacity building, KNASW has participated in international conferences and hosted various international summits the most recent one being the IFSW-KNASW Summit on Social Work and Leadership.
